Harbor Jet Logistics Privacy Policy

Your Account, Password, and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to log out of your account at the end of each session and to notify Harbor Jet Logistics immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your password or account. Harbor Jet Logistics will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the compromise of your account.

Registration

By registering on our site, you confirm that your email address is valid. By providing your email address, you agree to receive newsletters and advertisements from us. If you wish to opt out of our emails, please contact our service department.

General Prohibitions

As a condition of using our service, you agree not to:

- Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.

- Upload, post, email, or transmit any content: (i) that you do not have the lawful right to copy, transmit, distribute, or display; (ii) for which you do not have consent or permission from identifiable persons in the content to use their name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness; (iii) that infringes or misappropriates intellectual property rights or violates privacy rights of any third party; (iv) that is false or misleading; (v) that is defamatory; (vi) that is obscene, pornographic, or offensive; (vii) that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any individual or group; or (viii) that violates or encourages any conduct that would violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Harm or threaten to harm other users in any way, or interfere with, or attempt to interfere with, the access of any user, host, or network, including by sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing the service.
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Harbor Jet Logistics reserves the right to investigate and prosecute violations of these terms, including potential infringements of intellectual property rights and security breaches, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting users who violate these terms. Although Harbor Jet Logistics has no obligation to monitor your access to or use of the service, we reserve the right to do so to ensure compliance with these terms or to comply with applicable laws or governmental requests.

You acknowledge that Harbor Jet Logistics is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources and does not endorse or assume responsibility for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites. You further acknowledge that Harbor Jet Logistics is not liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services.

Charges &  Payment Policy

 

1. Payment Responsibility Customers are responsible for all duties, taxes, interest, and other charges associated with the importation of goods into Jamaica. Our invoice will include applicable customs charges in addition to our service and shipping fees. 

 

2. Invoice Access and Payment A detailed breakdown of charges for each package will be available through your user account on our website. Payment must be settled in full before packages are released. We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. 
 

Late Payment Policy 
-An automatic $200 daily storage fee will be applied to each package if the invoice is not paid within 7 days. 

 

-If full payment is not received within 30 days from the invoice date, we reserve the right to:

 1. Auction the Package: Your package may be sold via public or private auction to recover outstanding balances, including storage fees, in compliance with Jamaica Customs Act Sections 123-124.  -

 

 2. Service Charges are calculated per package and may include: service fees, shipping costs, insurance, storage fees, and any additional charges related to the package's nature. Rates and charges are subject to change without prior notice. However, we will make efforts to publish updates on our website, and it is your responsibility to stay informed about any rate changes.

  3. Suspend Services: Services for your account may be temporarily paused. 

  4. Account Termination: Your account may be permanently terminated. 

 

Receiving Your Package in Jamaica 
 

1. Pickup or Delivery Options - Pickup: You may collect your package from any of our pick up locations after receiving notification of its availability.

- Delivery: For home or business delivery, full payment of your invoice is required before scheduling a delivery slot.  

 

2. Payment Options Invoices can be settled via cash, credit card, debit card, or by contacting us through WhatsApp. 

Modifications

Harbor Jet Logistics reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms of Service at any time. If any term is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that term shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining terms.

Applicable Law

By visiting HarborJetLogistics.com, you agree that the laws of the United States, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms of Service and any disputes that may arise between you and Harbor Jet Logistics.

Liability Disclaimer

We (Harbor Jet Logistics) are not responsible for errors made by shipping carriers, such as delays, damages, or lost packages. We will handle such issues as deemed appropriate. We are not liable for shipping delays caused by natural disasters beyond our control, including severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or other extraordinary circumstances affecting carrier routes. If an exchange is desired, all shipping costs incurred are the responsibility of the buyer.

Duties, customs taxes, and fees are the responsibility of the buyer, if applicable. Harbor Jet Logistics is not liable for incorrect charges of freight, customs duties, levies, etc., not caused by Harbor Jet Logistics.

Harbor Jet Logistics will carefully examine received packages at its warehouses, but we are not obligated to verify the contents of transport containers or shipments, only weights and dimensions. We will clarify any discrepancies as soon as possible by notifying the customer.

Harbor Jet Logistics shall not be liable for any loss, damage, misdelivery, or non-delivery of packages sent to our warehouses. We are also not liable for damage caused by events constituting force majeure, including but not limited to war, riots, strikes, lockouts, boycotts, work congestion, cargo scarcity, or weather conditions.

Harbor Jet Logistics is not liable for damage or loss due to theft of goods not in our possession, custody, or control, unless the customer can prove that the theft resulted from circumstances that Harbor Jet Logistics should have avoided or foreseen based on the contract with the customer.

In the absence of specific instructions or special agreements, Harbor Jet Logistics reserves the right to choose the means for organizing and performing services according to standard business practices, including grouping goods for shipment.
